Ruslan Huseynov – one of Azerbaijan’s bassists in greatest demand. He began playing with the group ‘Rast’, and gradually moved towards jazz. The other leading musicians are delighted to have him participate in festivals as well as in club programmes. Sometimes he is over-committed, but he always finds time to spend on his own development of the latest innovations in jazz. A very relaxed personality, he is passionate about his music…. As his sons have already started to learn the double bass (as witnessed in one of the photos) there is every chance that his love of music will be passed down to his heirs.
